POLICY OBJECTIVES
The objective of this policy is to outline the updated safety policy guidelines during
COVID 19 related situations and updating the handling of employees in reference to
the duration of isolation or quarantine period, in lieu of the Department of Health
(DOH) advisory and IATF Resolution No. 155 Series of 2021 on current isolation
and quarantine period.

MARP EMPLOYEES (most-at-risk population (MARP)

Make alcohol dispensers available in specific areas in locale Before going to work

machine to detect any signs of COVID-19 infection and correct
health status is being declared by doing random spot checks.

Protocols for close contacts of probable, suspect and


confirmed COVID-19 cases via Antigen Testing

1. Fully vaccinated individuals who are close contact of probable and


confirmed cases (Face-to-face contact with a probable or confirmed case
within 1 meter and for at least 15 minutes) may undergo a seven (7)-day
quarantine period, provided that:

⮚ The individual remains asymptomatic for the duration of


the seven-day period with the first day being the date
immediately after the last exposure. ⮚ In the event that (RT-
PCR) test needs to be performed on the asymptomatic
individual, it may be tested not earlier than the fifth day after
the date of the last exposure.

confirmed COVID-19 cases via Antigen Testing

1. Fully vaccinated individuals who are close contact of probable and


confirmed cases (Face-to-face contact with a probable or confirmed case
within 1 meter and for at least 15 minutes) may undergo a seven (7)-day
quarantine period, provided that:
⮚ For close contact who may have been traced beyond the seventh day
from last exposure and who have remained asymptomatic, no testing and
quarantine shall be required. Should the RT-PCR test yield a positive
result, or he/she becomes symptomatic, he/she shall follow the
prescribed testing and isolation protocols.

⮚ Should the probable, suspect and confirmed COVID-19 case from the
confirmatory RT PCR test result be negative, the close contact employee
can resume to work provided an antigen test should be taken prior to
return to work.

2. Unvaccinated or partially or incompletely vaccinated individuals who may be


close contacts of the suspect, probable, and confirmed COVID-19 cases shall
undergo fourteen (14)-day quarantine pursuant to the Department of Health
Administrative Order No. 2021-0043 or the “Omnibus Guidelines on the
Minimum Public Health Standards for the Safe Reopening of Institutions.”

Should the probable, suspect and confirmed COVID-19 cases from the
confirmatory RT PCR test resulted to negative, the close contact employee can
resume to work provided an antigen test should be taken prior to return to work

3. An individual shall be considered as having been fully vaccinated for COVID-


19:

a) More than or equal to 2 weeks after having received the dose in a 2-dose series;
OR
b) More than or equal to 2 weeks after having received a single-dose vaccine.
c) The vaccines administered to the individual are included in any of the
following:

⮚ Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) List or Compassionate Special Permit


(CSP) issued by the Philippine Food and Drug Administration ⮚ Emergency Use

Protocols for Isolation on Confirmed COVID-19 cases


REGARDLESS of vaccination status

1.Shall undergo 10-day isolation for all asymptomatic, mild or moderate


symptoms

2. Shall undergo 21-day isolation for all severe or with critical symptoms.

3. An employee who was traced positive via an antigen testing, they should
automatically report and take a confirmatory RT-PCR through their LGU (for
those non-HMO enrolled employees) or through the company’s HMO provider
(for those HMO enrolled employees).

4. Once quarantine has been completed, the employee should present to TMD the
Certificate of Return to Work from their LGU or Physician prior to accepting to
work back onsite

LEAVE OF ABSENCE AND ENTITLEMENT

Employees may avail their sick leave balance should they require to rest based on the
condition of their body during the quarantine period. Those employees without sick
leave balance to avail, the employee can file SSS sick leave reimbursement through
TMD, while those employees who requests to work from home during quarantine
period, the management are extending assistance in offering work from home
arrangement.

COVID – 19 PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE


EMERGENCY SITUATION

1. Management can allocate STL rooms for additional inhouse quarters to reduce
exposure risk due to travel. Maximum of 4 heads, limited standard or deluxe
STL rooms will be allocated.
2. Each property should create a logbook for tracking the employee quarters
and/or any rooms allocated as quarters
3. Employees who were positive of antigen testing in the property are qualified
to reimbursement a max up to Php 300/ employee for transportation
assistance going to their isolation place
WORKPLACE DISINFECTANT

Disinfectant sprays shall be applied every day or regularly to ensure that surfaces
of a room or any part of our establishment are sanitized. DMs in all properties is
responsible to ensure sanitization immediately of isolation areas upon vacated
and sanitize immediately areas where a positive employee has been detected.
TMD is responsible to inform DM in head office and KKK office as soon as possible
NON COMPLIANCE

Employees who did not follow the proper Health and


Safety Protocols which includes but not limited to non-
declaration of symptoms prior to coming to the office
shall be subjected to for two (2) weeks mandatory work
discontinuance which shall be charged to the
employee’s leave credits if applicable, otherwise “NO
WORK NO PAY” shall be applied
