Requirement of project
• There are many companies and shop starting
now a days and yet in India people tend to
follow traditional trend of making sales and
doing all the things manually or hand written
while it’s time for a upgrade many new shops
have been adopting digital technologies and
systems in shop and they can easily operate
and see more clear reports.

Requirement of project
• So the POS(point of sale) system is as much
needed in every store while there are many
point of sale system pre rolled out in market
but web based system is much easy you don’t
have to take your computer or laptop
everywhere with you, you could be anywhere
in the world and can operate your system
which is more reliable .

Introduction of project
• Ncounting is a sales, purchase and stock
management Web app. It is fast and easy to
use. You can use it for retail, restaurant and
different types of sales management for one
or multiple branches. There are different
reports and configurations which can make it
suitable for your business.

• Provide time clock for clock-in/clock-out


• Be prepared to collect customer information
• Determine what customer information you need
• Learn how to retrieve and record customer information
• Set ground work for loyalty program
• Optimize steps necessary to complete transaction
• Streamline check out process
• Provide multiple payment options
• Match barcodes to product listings

• overall function of the system. From the diagram we cansee


the major entities are the staff and the system. Admin can
register the staff through the system by entering individual’s
username and password. Admin can access the customer
service panel. After successful completion, Admin need to
send the customer service receipt to the Customers.

• Beside that staff need to log in with their
respective username and password to access
the system. Then they can proceed to new
product sales and service accordingly. After
successful completion they will send a copy of
sales receipt as well as service receipt (if any)
to the customers. Again, staffs can also update
the customer service records on demand.

• Here we can see Admin need to enter staff details
(username & password) so that staff can access the
system. After entering the system will save the staff
details directly into the database USERS TABLE. Then staff
can log in to the system with their individual's credentials
(username & password). After that they can proceed for
new sale and new service according to customer's
demands. After the successful transactions a receipt
(sales & service) will be given to the customers directly.
Admin can also access the system for customer service
(emergency purpose).

Learnings for me
• How to list out the requirements of a certain
software and how to implement those
requirements in the software in an aesthetic
and user friendly way.
• How to use coding languages more effectively.
