Paper Title ; IoT Retrofitting Approach for the Food Industry

• This paper approach involves a sensor system combined with an

embedded device that can be categorized as an IoT device and
capable of producing vast amount of data.
• The aim of this paper is to retrofit an infrastructure independent IoT
hardware in industrial food production systems and acquire process
data and integrate it into a cloud platform
• Internet of Things (IoT) is a system of interrelated devices, objects,
or people which can interact with one another over the internet and
transfer data over a network between devices
• An architecture has been proposed to integrate the whole system
with IoT by classifying into two layers– device and integration layer.
Paper Title ; Application of Internet of Things to the Monitoring System for Food
Quality Safety

• this paper has put forward the objectives, requirements, system

architecture and key technical aspects of Internet of Things
applied in food industry automation & supervision.

• Key Technologies
i) RFID
RFID applied to production process of the food industry chain, RFID tags
are used to record the basic information of the source of raw materials, together with
some other information such as the date of inspection, packaging date and batch
number. In addition, the date of manufacturing,

ii) Cloud technology

food safety monitoring service cloud center and terminal county
cloud are assembled with open API .Two classes of interface are defined in open API
a) the business interface b) the framework interface
Paper Title ; A Lightweight Blockchain Model for Smart Food Industry

• Introducing Blockchain (BC) within the Internet of Things

(IoT) is a great combination for ensuring privacy and
security to any kind of data
• most of the IoT devices do not have the capabilities to
provide such resources and power. This paper proposes a
simplified blockchain model, called Smart Food Chain
(SFC), for food industry automation by using IoT
network.
• The proposed system will be faster and securer and it will
not even require high amount of energy and resource
consumption.
Paper Title; Application Areas of Industry 4.0 Technologies in Food Processing Sector

• This paper presents the nine technological advancements that drive Industry 4.0 namely BigData and analytics, autonomous robots,
simulation, horizontal and vertical integration, cybersecurity, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), the cloud, augmented reality
and additive manufacturing.
• Additionally, the paper reviews their application areas in the food sector Intelligent
Manufacturing- Artificial Intelligence technology enables the machines to learn from past experience through their
collected dataset and able to adjust to the new inputs from the surroundings, perform the human-like task and
memorize the inputs for future optimization
• Manufacturing Design- the physical manufacturing system in a virtual model that include materials or product
(food), process, machine, processing line, humans, material handling system and other possible elements in the
manufacturing ecosystem
• Automation for Repetitive Tasks
• Food Traceability System
• Quality Control
Paper Title; Green Development Mode and Total Factor Productivity of the Food Industry Based on the
Industrial Internet of Things

• The application of the Internet of Things technology

in the green development of the food industry can
improve the overall performance of each enterprise
and the supply chain. It can also effectively promote
the information exchange and realize the
information to be shared among each links.
