Definition : Burning is a chemical reaction in which a substance
combines with oxygen
Another term for burning > combustion
When something burns,
Reacts with oxygen
Sometimes ashes are formed
The products have different properties from the reactants
When magnesium is burnt in air,
magnesium + oxygen magnesium oxide
