Introduction
Destruction of marine habitat occurs when
conditions necessary for the survival of plants and
animals are significantly endangered or removed.

The coastal areas are the ones that suffer

the most from this disease
disproportionately, due to the pollution that
man produces.
Direct sources of contamination
❖ Industrial downloads
❖ Urban sewage
❖ Solid waste and other
factors
This year we can see what the Repsol
company caused with the spill of 6000
barrels of oil, causing serious
consequences to all animals, causing
death, damaging 1.8 hectares in the sea.
What Will the future be like for these animals that live in these contaminated areas or habitats?

The future for animals living in the sea is bleak. If we continue to

pollute as is currently being done and measures are not taken to
counteract the pollution, after a few years several species of
animals will become extinct.

Due to chemicals and pollution in

the sea, the animals will mutate,
presenting deformations and
being different from their original
form.
What social movements will you suggest to help out with the protection of these places and their
preservation?

Conservation and environmental movements.

● We have to protect marine flora and fauna

Sustainable development movements.

● Fishing must be supported so that it has
sustainable development both for fishermen and
for the protection of fished species

Environmental justice.

● Companies responsible for damage to ecosystems

must be sanctioned in addition to being obliged to
repair the damage caused
What are some short-term actions to fight this battle against
climate change?
What are some long-term actions to fight this battle against climate change?

We can reduce the use of fossil fuels and increase

the use of energies such as solar or wind energy.

We must take into account the

carbon footprint generated per
person in order to reduce the
CO2 produced per person.

We must develop emergency plans in case of environmental disasters such as oil spills in the sea.
