meet Jharkhand

There is always some kind of celebrations that
prevail in the air

In this ppt we will be learning about the 2 major
festivals of Jharkhand :- Chatra Mela , Badli
Mela.
 Chatra or Kundli Mela


The original name of this festival is Kundli Mela
as it is celebrated in Chatra it is also known as
Chatra Mela

It is a cattle fair in Jharkhand which was started
in 1882 since then was celebrated every year in
this state.

This festival is celebrated at the time of Durga
Puja or Dussera in the month of
September/October.
Getting the Glimpse of the Mela

The Bhadli Fair takes place in the place called
Ithkori. There is also the temples of Durga Devi
and Lord Shiva.

It is on the day of the Makar Sankrathi that this
mela takes place.

People from all around come to that place to
attend the fair.

The orgin of this place is still not know.
