For her photos I think she
would have use artificial
lights ,such as studio lights
or maybe a light box . I also
think she would’ve used a
tripod to make her photos
focused as without it could
cause movement or
vibrations.
Suzanne has admitted that
she uses a little bit of
Photoshop on her
photographs. From this we
can tell that her photos are
how they seem but might
have had a few touch ups.
Suzanne wants to tell stories
with her abstract and balanced
photos . She wants the viewers
to think of everyday life when
looking at the photos .

Suzanne Saroff takes photos
under the theme of water and
desorption , her photos consist
of everyday objects behind
different shaped glasses filled
with water to make a distorted
effect .
The mood in this photo is
quite calm , I like it as
some photographer add
too much and it looks
quite busy but this photo
doesn’t have that .
Suzanne Saroff has taken these types of
photos because she wants to alter the way her
viewers interact with everyday objects , she
does this by taking photos using water
distortion . These items are then coupled with
different types of glasses , such as fat , tall
thin and round , she then puts different
amounts of water in the cups to distort the
object.
Suzanne uses multiple techniques such as
bold colours ,directional light and refraction
. In this photo we can only mainly see two
bold colours that really stand out , those are
orange and light pink on the distorted fish .
The effectiveness of only having a few
colours is how simplistic the photos look
and how people wont get overwhelmed by
lots of bold colours .
For all of her distorted photos she
has used multiple studio lights to
create a better photo , the shadows
in this photo look natural and as if
they are real.
