LO2 Planning And Developing

For Animation

By Rachael Evans 
Initial
Ideas

•What happened was first we got given a word

(mine was slide) and we had to draw around it all
diffent ideas of things that can happen in our
animation in association with my word.
The
Ideas!
And how animatible it is.
• This is one of my
ideas. The idea was
to have a man
walking along and for
him to slip then
SLIDE on wet floor!

It would have been quite simple to I would of used cell

animate this. I would of just made animation for this because I
can repeat the back ground
the person and use repeat easily and made it look like
animation for the back ground. she/he was sliding more.
• This one, there was a bowling ball sliding
along and then suddenly stopping and
hatching into a chick!

This, like the last one, would of been done using repeat
animation or the bowling ball would come on rolling and
stop in the middle of the peace of paper. I believe the
bird would have been the hardest to animate because
the feathers would be hard to move around to make it
look like it was moving. I would of done this using white
bored animation.
• Here, a man slips on banana skin, slides along a
little… SUDDENLY a cage appears and the man
slides into the cage which suddenly locks. Then
an alien comes out of no where and rapes the
man. I wouldn't show the rape but I would have
a sign saying “ALEIN RAPE!”

This one is one of the most simpler

ones because its very simple. I
would of used white bored animation
but I don’t believe it would have been
very smooth because I am not very
good at drawing!
• Here, a woman slides on some ice and
onto a frozen river, which suddenly crakes
and the woman falls in the water! There's a
moments silence and then the woman
bursts out of the water and she has turned
into a mermaid!
• This was the idea I used in the end
because it seamed fun and simple to do.
• Lastly I drew I rollerblade. I didn’t finish
this drawing but I was going to have the
rollerblade change in to a caterpillar!

This is probably the hardest idea because I would

have to show the spinning of the wheel and the
transformation would been a problem because I
don’t know how to show it.. I would use white bored
animation as it is easier to change one ting to
another.
Developing my
chosen idea
I roughly drew each scene and
explained what happened in each
scene so I knew what I had to do
in each and how hard it would
have been.
I did this to develop my idea more and to develop my
characters. I also added more to the story to lengthen
it.
Using my test animation I was able to
determine what media to use and how
easy it would be to do the whole thing.
I learnt some of the idea where harder
then I thought they would be to animate. I
had a problem with the paper moving on
this test so on the proper one I blue
tacked the paper down.
Sound
For the sound me and ola record sounds
using our voices, like a splash. For the
opening music I record the song ‘The Bird
And The Worm’ by Owl City.
How I changed the original idea
I added more on to the original idea, such as
super carrot and a sausage.
