• 2.CHRONOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATON
• 3.QUALITATIVE CLASSIFICATION
• 4.QUANTITATIVE CLASSIFICATION
GEOGRAPHICAL CLASSIFICATION
• When data are classified with reference to geographical locations such as countries,
states, cities, districts, etc., it is known as geographical classification.
• Example : Production of Groundnut based on districts.
• Under this classification, data are classified on the basis of some attributes or qualities
like honesty, beauty, intelligence, literacy, marital status, etc.
• When one attribute is classified into two classes it is called as “simple classification”
• Similarly when we classify the observed attributes from simple classification it is called
as “Two fold classification”
• Similarly when we classify the observed attributes from Two fold classification it is called
as “Mani -fold classification”
