READING

Copernicus made his greatest discovery in the year of his

death (1543) and can be named as one of the first amateur
astronomers in human history. The question about the
Earth's movement came after constant observations of the
sky and stars. Copernicus analyzed and concluded that the
planets and the Solar System revolve around the Sun,
challenging the Greek Geocentric System (where
the Earth was fixed and celestial stars and
the Sun revolving around it), which until t
hen was the thought adopted by everyone
at the time .
