Mission

Meaning :- purpose or reason for the organization’s existence.

Mission is related to an organization or body corporate

• Mission is an organization which is a motive directed with it.


• i.e., - Fulfillment of a particular need of the society
- To fill-up a particular deficiency of the society
Mission Statement

• Mission statement of an organization defines its fundamental reason or rationale for its existence.

• Mission statement guides the actions of the organization.

• For decision making of an organization, proper goal and path are provided.

Why the organization exists or created?

• Mission prescribe the generalized statements of expected behavior.

• Mission is derived from the vision of the creator of the organization.

Vision
Meaning :- A vision serves the purpose of stating what an organization wishes to achieve in
the long run.

• Visionary approach of a business strategist and long-term planner becomes a critical factor for
the success of an organization.

• Visionary capability largely depends on one’s education, experience, analytical mind, ability to
relate things and the application of innovative mind.
