AND DIGITAL
MANUFACTURING
ROBOTICS MERSB17110

PREPARED BY- PRASIDDH PATEL

GROUP- MR-FUC-19
TOPIC- MITSUBISHI MELFA ROBOTS
MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL ROBOT
MELFA SERIES

• Since its beginnings in 1870, some 45 companies use the

Mitsubishi name, covering a spectrum of finance, commerce
and industry

• Introducing the next generation of intelligent robots,

incorporating advanced solutions technology and “e-
F@ctory”, technologies and concepts developed and proven
using Mitsubishi Electric’s own production facilities that go
beyond basic robotic performance to find ways of reducing
the TCO in everything from planning and design through to
operation and maintenance.
TYPES OF ROBOTS AND ITS
RANGE

• Compact body and slender arms cover large work

areas. An ideal robot for compact cell construction.
Perfect for transporting, assembling and inspecting
Various Size of components
PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE AND COMMANDS OF ROBOTS

The outline of the programming language "MELFA-BASIC V" is explained in this section. The basic
movement of the robot, signal input/output, and conditional branching methods are described. this uses
structured programming to give high levels of reusability and readability.
• Robot Movements
a. Joint Interpolation movement
b. Linear Interpolation movement
c. Circular Interpolation movement
• Commands of Robot movement
a. MVS
b. MOV P1
PROGRAM CREATION AND TOTAL
ENGINEERING SOFTWARE
• RT ToolBox 3
• This is computer software to assist with a range of tasks from system start-up through to debugging and operation.
This includes creating and editing programs, checking the operating environment prior to robot installation,
estimating cycle times, debugging when robots are started up, monitoring robots states once they are running and
monitoring faults.

• Its features include a ribbon bar, output window and docking pane, making information easier to see and the software
easier to use. Operations in the 3D monitor screen have also been updated to make using the screen more intuitive
CONTROLLERS AND IT’S TYPE

• D-type Controller
HIGH PERFORMANCE TEACHING BOX

• R56TB is an upgraded teaching box model . In addition to “traning” the

robot, it’s LCD display and monitoring functions can be effectively used for
debugging tasks.
