Production detail

The film was produced by Jim Henson Productions for Lorimar Film Entertainment as the company's final theatrical release before being
incorporated with Warner Bros. in 1993. The film earned positive reviews from reviewers and established a cult following over time. The Witches
was adapted from British novelist Roald Dahl's children's book of the same name.It was Jim Henson's final film before his death, the final
theatrical picture produced by Lorimar Productions, and the final film based on Dahl's material made before his death (both Henson and Dahl
died that year).

-Charlie Hansen is the grandson of
Agatha Hansen and the main character
in The Witches. After being turned into a
mouse by the Grand High Witch and her
coven of witches, Charlie leads the
charge against the witches, vowing to
take down all of the witches around the
world.
 PLOT
-After his parents are killed in an automobile accident in Chicago in 1968, Charlie Hansen travels to live with his grandmother, Agatha, in Demopolis, Alabama. Agatha gradually cheers
Charlie up by purchasing a pet mouse for him, which he names Daisy. Charlie goes to the market one day to get a package of nails so that he may teach Daisy and build her a house. A
witch approaches the youngster, attempting to entice him with a snake and a caramel, but Agatha intervenes, and the witch vanishes.

-Charlie realises that the witches are real after informing Agatha about the incident. She claims a witch cursed her childhood friend Alice, turning her into a chicken for the remainder of
her life. Witches, according to Agatha, never leave once they discover a kid. They make a hasty decision to stay at a local hotel where her cousin Eston works as the executive chef.

-The next day, Charlie brings Daisy and a rope to a magnificent auditorium for some training. He encounters a gluttonous yet nice youngster named Bruno on his way there, who is hauled
away by his mother. Charlie then enters the big hall, expecting to be alone. A troop of witches headed by their all-powerful leader, The Big High Witch, enters the grand hall as he prepares
to instruct Daisy. Charlie hides beneath the stage and therefore overhears the Grand High Witch plotting to give the world's children a potion that would turn them all into mice, blended
into confectionary items.

-When Charlie and his grandmother flee to the hotel room where they are staying, they inform Agatha about the witches' intentions and learn that the Grand High Witch is sleeping in the
hotel room below them and that Daisy was once an orphaned little human girl named Mary who was changed into a mouse by a witch. Charlie, Bruno, and Mary formulate a scheme to
obtain a vial of the potion so that Agatha may invent a cure that would allow them to revert to children. The plan to acquire the potion works, but because she is unable to manufacture a
cure, they decide to put it in a pea soup broth that will be served to the witches at their meal.

-Agatha begins collecting all the potions to destroy them once she and the mice retreat to the Grand High Witch's chamber. The Grand High Witch tracks down Agatha and plans to murder
her, but the mice intercede and trap her into ingesting her own concoction, turning her into a rat. They have her imprisoned in an ice bucket, preventing her from fleeing. Agatha steals the
Grand High Witch's trunk full of money and frees her cat Hades from its prison before they leave the room. Hades strikes and kills The Grand High Witch as they close the door.

to the boy becomes bait to the witch and the boy is turned into a rat.This scene is very cruel and should not be done to
the boy because The boy is still young.

OVERALL OPINION
The Witches is one of my favorite movies and so I was cautiously optimistic about the 2020 reboot.
Now that I have seen it I can say that I was very pleasantly surprised by it. It is not as scary as the
original, but it is still fun, creepy, and has a great story. The Witches is also filled with some fantastic
quotes in this article I give you a collection of my favorites.
