Locating iPhone
Users need to sign into the iCloud website on any PC and choose “Locate My iPhone” from the main menu.
After selecting the device, there are three basic actions that can be performed:
Play Sound – This option will make the iPhone play a notification sound. This sound will be played at
maximum volume by default, which can hopefully help to track down the phone. Sound can be turned OFF
by tapping “OK” on the iPhone.
Erase iPhone – If the iPhone is lost and cannot be recovered, this option can be chosen to wipe any
personal data from the iPhone so that sensitive or personal information will never fall into the wrong
hands. The data can be restored with the help of last backup made on the iCloud.
Lost Mode – This mode when enabled, displays a number to be contacted along with a message on the
screen. This mode will also protect the device with a passcode.
