1. About the City

Pune is the eighth largest metropolis in India, the


second largest in the state of Maharatra. Situated at an
approximate distance of 73miles from Mumbai and
linked through a well connected expressway.

As one of the largest cities in India, Pune is emerging


as a prominent location for IT, BPO, Engineering and
manufacturing companies to expand their operations.
Pune is also known to be university town and Oxford of
the East.
2. Site study
Hyatt regency Pune and residences is a twin
tower residential hotel. One among the two
towers serves as hotel and other one serves as
serviced apartments.

Hyatt regency Pune and residences is built on
a plane land and the shape of the site is regular

Approach to the site


The site has both entry and exit from the Viman
Nagar Ave.1

Climatic Conditions
The city is known for its pleasing weather
conditions with the standard temperatures in
the range of 20 to 28 degree Celsius. Pune
Site Location- Weikfield IT Park, Nagar Road, Pune, experiences a tropical wet and dry climate.

insulation and prevent glare
19. Hardscape and Water features

A raised reflective ester body cladded with


tropical granite which is grooved and chipped is
at the very beginning of the entrance .

The hardscape is designed for a posh and


grand feeling

having solid stone spherical base and brass
tops.

They glow at night and gives a pleasant feeling


to the guests entering the hotel residence
20. Interiors

There are many unique custom


made interior elements are there
out of which one is the Chandelier
at the entrance lobby

1200 pieces cut out of glass were


used and the pieces were anchored
with cables

Square was used as a basic module to create
patterns in the interiors with varying light
effects.

For example- The image on the left hand side


is of the ballroom of the hotel. In this ballroom
all the walls along with the ceiling has square
elements and the whole ambience has a warm
tone which gives a luxurious feel
21. Interiors

The columns were covered with mirrors


and ceiling made of mild steel providing
indirect lighting at the entrance.

The modern interiors include hardwood


flooring or carpet.
• master bedrooms with king size beds
having a luxurious bath and rain shower.
• modern kitchens in apartments equipped
with high end appliances.
• each contemporary apartment was bright
and sunny with high ceilings and picture
windows.
22. Services

ELECTRIC SYSTEM
A system of interconnected smoke detector is installed within every rooms, corridors, public and
semi public and private areas.

WATER SYSYEM
fire sprinklers system are provided throughout the building.

AIR CONDITIONING SYSYEM


Center air conditioning is generally preferred.It is located at the basement, preferably at the
center of the building to reduce length of supply and return ducts.

DRAINAGE SYSTEMS
Internal drainage line –
100-150 mm dia. lead jointed cast iron pipes are used for soil and waste water lines from toilet to
inspection chambers in first floor.

Extremely drainage line –


cement jointed RCC hume pipes 150-450 mm are lead underground with regular Ics in brick
masonry.
22. Fire protection system

This hotel has electronic based fire protection


system

• A system of interconnected smoke detectors is


installed within every room, corridor, all public,
semi- public private areas.

• Smoke detectors and sprinkler system are


provided throughout the building

• Fire pumps installed on the technical floor


Smoke detectors and sprinklers pressurizes the wet system of the sprinklers and
in the corridor fire hoses.

22. Fire protection system

There is a separate road for fire tender movement and also the fire hydrants are laid along
the periphery of the building so that the fire tender can connect their vehicle and control fire
