INTRODUCTION
 Mental stress has become a major concern among the youth.
 Stress leads to various other physical or psychological complications.
 Stress evokes negative thoughts and feelings which is different for each person.
 The Covid Pandemic has made the life of students even tougher and added
more stress to their lives.
 Hence there is a need for a system to be developed to monitor and support the
students to overcome stress related issues and problems.
 Machine Learning is the sub field of AI and Data Science which deals with
algorithms which learn from data without being given an explicit set of
instructions .
AIM/OBJECTIVE
 To develop a real time application model.
 To develop a model that classifies the students into Stress and Stress Free.
 To make use of data science technique “classification rules” for predicting
stress in college students.
 By identifying the stress levels of students, to come up with some approaches
to reduce stress and create a much comfortable learning place for students.
 To make it easier and comfortable for the students to express their problems.
 To organize and analyze the most stress causing factors.
 To provide reliable and accessible individual solutions and advice to the
students based on the predictions to reduce stress.
METHODOLOGY
• The data is gathered from a real-life source to prepare a dataset.
• The data set then undergoes some of the processing techniques to prepare
the data for machine learning model.
• A classification algorithm, in general, is a function that weighs the input
features so that the output separates one class into positive values and the
other into negative values.
• The Bayesian classification algorithm is applied, which is based on a
probabilistic model that incorporates strong (naïve) independence
assumptions.
• The next step is to train machine learning models and analyze their
performance using measures such as accuracy, precision and recall.
• The trained model is then deployed to a web based solution.
