The clear specification of instructional objectives is
a vital element in the development and use of teaching
modules. Many instructional objectives can be stated in
behavioral terms.
Categories of Behavioral Objectives

of intellectual skills and abilities

◦ Analysis-ability to breakdown materials into its component part so that its organization
structure may be understood.

◦ Synthesis-composition or combination of parts or elements as a whole

◦ Evaluation-highest level , making judgement about the amount , number or value of something
Affective Objective
 Deals with emotions or feeling indicated by such words as interest,

do upon completion of the instructional
experience. These objectives are commonly
referred to as the behavioral outcomes or
performance objectives.
LEARNING CHECK (PRETEST)
a diagnostic pre-test maybe appropriate for
some modules. This instrument should provide
information useful in determining whether or
not the student is prepared to under take
particular module

LEARNING CHECK (POSTTEST)

Evaluative Post-Test is a key element of each
module. This instrument must reflect the
instructional objectives of the module
SUPPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES

Some modules are likely to include other

learning experiences outside the direct
context of the modular program.
