Water Around Us
• Almost ¾ of the earth’s surface is covered by water
• Most of it is : seas and oceans
• Other kinds of water is :lakes –ponds –streams – rivers – lakes
and underground. Show and draw the diagram on p.8
• Wherever you live, water is all around you. It is in the rocks
and Soil under your feet.
• Water is also in the air and forms the clouds above your head.
Water forms:

Water can be seen in different forms:


Gas: an invisible gas called water vapor fills the air around us
Liquid: when water droplet joins together it starts to rain
Solid: when the air is very cold the water droplets turn into
snow or ice
