Title Page
The title page is the very
first page in your
document.
Checklist for Title Page:
•Title of document is the same as what
appears on Abstract page and
Approval page.

•The title of document uses ALL

CAPS.

•Author's name is the same as what

appears on Abstract page and
Approval page.
Checklist for Title Page:

•The date listed reflects the current

semester of publication. Students
graduating in a later semester must
put the current semester of publication
on their documents.

•The correct Department name

appears on the Title page.
Checklist for Title Page:

•Avoid using quotation marks around

the title.  When necessary, single- or
double- quotation marks within a title
are permitted

•Do not include a period after the title

•Avoid using acronyms; spell out

terms fully when possible

•No page number should appear on

the title page.

•The title page is preformatted in the

library's template files.

•Ensure there is space between all the

elements on the title page.

This is to prove that the author/s have passed
the requirements needed for the thesis.

spelled correctly and have
appropriate credentials next to
each person’s name.

•The page provides space for the
signatures of the research professor,
the department chair and the dean to
indicate their acceptance of the work.
(note: all names for signature should be
typed in all capital letters)

• This also state the grade obtained by the
