What are the rules for good
netiquette?
 Don’t copy software from the internet or
friends. It’s like stealing and is illegal.
 Don’t forward jokes or other prank email.
 Always give credit for information you use
from the internet. Don’t use someone else’s
ideas without citing them.
What types of activities are considered
bad manners online?
 Spamming—sending unwanted e-mails
 Flaming—comments which cause strong
feelings of hatred.
 Hacking—breaking into computers to steal
or tamper with files
