Bruce Boyd photographs frozen flowers in ice, capturing their unique patterns and colors. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, his 2019 photo "Rose Iceberg" shows blue roses spread out and frozen within a block of ice, using techniques like a fast shutter speed and long depth of field to showcase the flowers' colorful forms within the ice.

Information Bruce Boyd was born in Cape Town, South Africa. The photo I am interested in is called Rose Iceberg and it was photographed in 2019. The series is frozen flowers, I am interested in this because they all look different and have different patterns in the ice every time. This photograph shows blue roses frozen in ice, I like how the flowers are spread out and not all in a pile. He has used colour, shape, form and pattern in his picture. He has also focused the camera on the whole block of ice and has used a long depth of field, I also think he used a fast shutter speed. When taking my own photos I will link to Bruce Boyd by also taking photos of colourful objects in ice.
