Purpose of the Diet

Low salt, low fat, diabetic diet

To maintain the desirable amount of sodium, fat,


sugar, potassium, phosphorus in patient with type
2 diabetes mellitus and chronic kidney disease,
and to prevent further kidney complications.
MONDAY (DAY 1)

Breakfast Snack

1/3 cup Oatmeal with 1/3


cup of Glucerna Milk 1 Renal Friendly Wheat
Lunch Bran Muffin Dinner
3 pcs raspberries
1/3 cup salad/1 Tbsp 2 oz Herbed Chicken
dressing 3 tbsp. of white rice
1/3 cup vegetable broth 1 cup green peas
soup

*Brown Rice are high in phosphorus and potassium and should not be taken
TUESDAY (DAY 2)

Breakfast Snack
1 Low Phosphorus
Pancakes* 1 Toast/bread with
with unsweetened syrup margarine
Lunch ½ glass of Glucerna Milk Dinner
4 pcs. Blueberries

1 slice salmon Grilled Unsalted Tuna


4pcs. celery stick & 3 tbsp. of white rice
sliced 1/3 cup boiled corn

WEDNESDAY (DAY 3)

Breakfast Snack

1 slice Toast 1/3 cup of unsalted


½ glass of Glucerna Milk popcorn
3pcs. whole Strawberries Lunch

THURSDAY (DAY 4)

6 thin slices of Apple Half slice of Dragonfruit

1/3 cup Glucerna Milk Lunch Dinner
1/3 cup of Sinigang na 3 tbsp. of white rice
Salmon 1/3 cup of stir fried
3 tbsp. of White rice chicken and cabbage
FRIDAY (DAY 5)

1 slice Toast 5 thin slices of Apple


2 Slices of Goat cheese ½ glass of Glucerna Milk
2pcs. Of Strawberry Lunch Dinner
2 pieces of Tuna Shanghai 1 whole white fried egg
Roll 3 tbsp. of white rice

SATURDAY (DAY 6)
