 What is Matter
Matter - is anything that
occupies space has mass
and weight.
 Changes in Matter
Physical change - happens when the
appearance of matter changes and no new
material is formed.

Chemical change – happens when the heat is

applied and the matter changes its size,
shape, color, and smell and new material is
formed.

The changes in color of the inner
fleshy part pf the eggplant is due to
its exposure to oxygen.
Same with apple, banana, guava and
other fruits and vegetables.
How do we keep fruits and
vegetables from turning brown?
Place it in a large bowl of water ,
enough for all pieces of fruits to dip
in fully. This is to prevent the oxygen
present to react with the chemicals
present in the fruits.
