    WHAT IS ASIA?

     Asia is Earth's largest and most populous continent, located primarily in the Eastern and Northern Hemispheres. It
    shares the continental landmass of Eurasia with the continent of Europe and the continental landmass of Afro-
    Eurasia with both Europe and Africa.
    HOW MANY COUNTRIES DOES ASIA HAVE?

     Asia is made up of 48 countries. Look at the map of Asia. Can you find some countries that are part of Asia? The
    countries of Asia are very different and their cultures have little in common.
    WHAT COUNTRIES ARE IN ASIA?

     Today, Asia is home to the citizens of Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan,
    Brunei, Cambodia, China, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait,
    Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar (Burma), Nepal, North Korea, Oman,

    WHAT ARE THE 6 REGIONS OF ASIA?

     These are Central Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Western Asia. Another region can be
    defined as North Asia to include the bulk of Siberia of Russia and the northeastern parts of Asia.
