1 OBJECTIVES

1. To understand the process of finding and acquiring skilled Human Resource for
organizational needs.

2. To find out the methods and procedure of recruitment which are followed by the Research
Industry.

3. To find out the most important factor which influence the choice of the job of the candidate.

4. To find out the candidate expectations from the companies they want to join.

5. To find out the most preferred industry in which candidate willing to join.

6. To find out the least important factor which influence the choice of the job for the candidate.
2 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

– The project bearing the title “The Recruitment and Selection in Market Research Industry

And Expectations of candidates from the Workplace”

– Statement of Problem:- What are the expectations of candidates from the Workplace and

which factors influence the choice of the job?


₋ In this report both primary and secondary source of data is been used for collection of data.
₋ Research tools which is used to collect the data is Questionnaire.
₋ Sample Size of this study was taken to be 100 people.
₋ Sampling technique used in this report is Non Probability Sampling.
3 OBSERVATION

– Fresher’s who opted Marketing, mostly go with manufacturing Industry.

– From the data we can easily identify that male prefers marketing specialization and females prefer Human
Resource.

– Type of Industry depends on Gender and not on age group.(observed by applying Chi Square Test)

– From the Chi Square test we can easily evaluate gender is independent on age group.

– From the Chi Square test we can identify Specialization is dependent on age group.

– International Business is the least chosen specialization has seen in the report.

– Medical Assistance (Doctor at work place) is not an important factor for fresher’s which influence their
choice of job.
4 FINDINGS

– 49% of the fresher’s prefer Service Industry to work in.

– Only 46% of fresher’s have work experience and they mainly pursing Graduation
or Post Graduation.

– Marketing is the most preferred specialization with 28% of fresher’s opting it.

– 77% of fresher’s believe Career growth and development is most important factor
which influence the choice of fresher’s and only 13% fresher's believe Medical
assistance is the least important factor which influence the choice of the job.

₋ 39% fresher’s believe opportunity to work aboard is the least affected factor
which affect them to remain in the organization and 75% of fresher’s and even
36% of fresher’s having work experience believe promotion opportunity
motivates them to remain in the same organization.
₋ Even in the Service Sector 39% fresher’s prefer Career Growth and Development
and Work Culture has the most important factor which influence the choice of the
job.
₋ There are 45% of females and 28% of male are specifically in age group of 21-25.
6 SUGGESTIONS AND LEARNINGS

 This research study basically emphasis on the importance of the recruitment and selection process in the organization for
effective hiring in the organization.

 From this research we learned about the various factors that play an important role while seeking for the job and made me
understand and which are those factors which really motivates a candidate to remain in the same job.

 Current trends should be implemented so that it will be beneficial in future in terms of recruitment. For the candidates their
preferences play a crucial role in selecting a job for them.

 The research industry should also focus on their recruitment process which was quiet time consuming and tedious.

 Even the market research industries should plan to digitalize the recruitment process which will be cost effective and while help
in this current pandemic situation as observed in the organization in which I was interning.

 Even finding out the best, affordable recruitment software in this crisis while help the companies in the recruitment process.
7 CONCLUSION

With the emerging rapid increase in the organizations, the need for recruitment and selections acts as a crucial part.

 Recruitment and selection are not just a process but it helps in recruiting the right skilled talent in the organization from all
over the world. The perspective of the candidates is essential and should be kept in mind while recruiting.

 We conclude that the objectives for which I did this research is fulfilled. After doing the research and survey we can
conclude that the process of recruitment and selection is necessary for every organization to find and acquire skilled
employees for every position and the expectations of candidates play a vital role in the recruitment process.

 The factors like package, career growth and development, work culture etc. are also considered and these factors do
influence the choice of the job.

 Factors like promotion opportunity, appreciation and recognition, advance training etc. are important factors which
motivates the candidate to remain in the same organization.
