The ill effect of social media to students
Through the years, social media has evolved rapidly and its influence on the
lives of people is undeniably great. Connecting people and making learning
and teaching easy, fun and convenient for teachers and students have ushered
social media to the peak of its success. Unfortunately, addiction and misuse
turned the tables. Instead of helping, social media becomes a hindrance to
learning. Worst, due to misuse, many young people end up being desperate,
insecure, selfish, and depressed. In a world where peoples' mentality and
judgment are clouded by lies and fake news online, a world where everyone
craves attention even to the point of degrading oneself and losing a sense of
self-worth in exchange for other people's approval, what do we expect from the
future generation? The purpose of our research is not only to enumerate and
elaborate the ill effects of social media especially to students but also to serve
as a reminder of what our world is slowly turning into. We aim to use this
research as a wake-up call. The future generation deserves so much better.
Effectiveness of Sex Education to Lessen the cases of teenage pregnancy

Teenage birth rates in the Philippines have been dangerously high — even
before the coronavirus pandemic struck, putting thousands of couples on
lockdown. What brought us to this point? Is there any chance for children who
don't want to have children?

Despite the passage of the Reproductive Health (RH) Law in 2012, 150,000
adolescent-led households are still without help in 2019. The Commission on
Population and Development (PopCom) and the Department of Health (DOH)
discovered that the number of girls becoming pregnant and giving birth for the
first time at a young age has been growing in their 2019 RH Law annual report.

According to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority's Civil Registration

and Vital Statistics System, there were 180,916 live births among teenagers
aged 10 to 19 in the Philippines in 2019. In the 10 to 19 age range, this equates
to 495 live births every day.
To combat teen pregnancy, all government agencies and instruments are being
directed to explore and execute practical treatments such as comprehensive
sexuality education, educational and career options for young people, and
health promotion through media and communications.

We want to perform this research for a number of reasons. Teenagers who

receive comprehensive sex education have a lower risk of becoming pregnant
than those who receive simply abstinence until marriage or no formal sex
education. The goal of sex education is to educate young people about issues
such as sex, sexuality, and bodily development. High-quality sex education can
help people avoid STDs and unexpected pregnancies. It also reduces the
chances of having unsafe sex and promotes responsible family planning. The
Philippines is gradually introducing sex education and contraception
availability to assist address challenges such as overcrowding, high rates of
teen pregnancy, and the spread of HIV.
A survey on the effect of mental stability on the performance of online
learners.
Traditional on-site teaching and learning cannot be guaranteed on a long-term
basis due to the pandemic's reemergence. There has been a rapid pedagogical
shift from traditional to online class sessions, face-to-face to virtual instruction,
and seminars to webinars, as social distancing is of vital importance at this
stage to protect all communities. The pandemic's influence has ushered in a
new era of technical advancement, with the global higher education system
becoming increasingly digitalized.
Research reporting the impact of COVID-19 on student education and welfare
has observed that academic disruption can affect the university’s teaching
delivery and result in psychosocial consequences for its university community.
Students are often faced with increased anxiety during the pandemic, which
may lead to decreased motivation towards studying and this can be correlated
with increased concerns on academic, social, and economic well-being.
Student Student life can be stressful and for some students it may cause mental
distress. Besides being a major public health challenge, mental distress can
influence academic achievement. The purpose of this study aims to know what are
the factors that affects the students mental stability during this pandemic and how it
affects the performance of the students.
METHODOLOGY
The researchers will carefully form questions that
will go along with the study.

The data will be collected using self administered

qustionnaire prepared by the researchers.

The questions will be produced randomly through

Google forms for the randomly selected participants.
Copies questionnaire will be distributed to the
thirty (30) randomly selected respondents.

The respondents will be given instructions how to fill up

the questionnaire provided.

The participants will have allotted time to respond on the

given questionnaires, and researchers will collect the
survey questionnaires.
