PRESS AND HOLD “5” ON THE DISPLAY
STEERING CALIBRATIONS
IF ONE OR MORE LEGS ARE OUT OF CALIBRATION, THE IDEAL WAY TO CALIBRATE THE STEERING WOULD BE
TO ENTER MANUAL STEER MODE AND ADJUST THE CENTER POINT OF EACH LEG.
IF A WHOLE LEG ASSEMBLY OR EVEN A STEERING CYLINDER ON THE LEG ITSELF HAS BEEN CHANGED, THE
LEG NEEDS TO GO THROUGH THE WHOLE STEERING CALIBRATION. THIS SCREEN CAN BE ACCESSED BY
PRESS THE UP/DOWN ARROWS TOGETHER.
STEERING CALIBRATION: STEP 1
SET EACH LEG TO CENTER FROM THE MANUAL STEER SCREEN.
THE IDEAL WAY TO FIND CENTER IN THE LEGS WOULD BE TO RUN A STRING LINE FROM THE FRONT TO REAR
OF THE MACHINE AND THEN MEASURE THE FRONT AND REAR SIDE OF EACH WHEEL UNTIL CENTER IS FOUND.
IF A STRING LINE IS NOT AN OPTION, THE EYE BALL TEST WILL SUFFICE IN ORDER TO GET BY BEFORE A
STRING LINE BECOMES AN OPTION. IN ORDER TO PERFORM THE EYE BALL TEST, ONE PERSON NEEDS TO BE
ON THE GROUND LOOKING STRAIGHT DOWN THE TIRE IN ORDER SIGNAL TO THE OPERATOR WHEN THE
WHEEL IS STRAIGHT. (NEVER TRY AND SET CENTER FROM THE OPERATORS CONSOLE IN THE CAB)
STEERING CALIBRATION: STEP 2
ONCE THE LEGS HAVE BEEN MANUALLY CENTERED. PRESS AND HOLD THE
CORRESPONDING BUTTON TO SET THE CALIBRATION. (FOR EXAMPLE: IF YOU
CALIBRATED THE LEGS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE MACHINE, YOU WOULD PRESS
AND HOLD “6” AND THEN PRESS AND HOLD “8”
STEERING CALIBRATION: STEP 3
IF THERE WAS NO PARTS CHANGE TO THE LEG ASSEMBLIES AND THE WHEELS JUST NEEDED TO BE
CALIBRATED. (THE STEERING IS NOW CALIBRATED WITH THE COMPLETION OF STEPS 1 AND 2.)

STRICTLY FOR
FACTORY TESTING
PURPOSES.
IF THE STEERING CYLINDER WAS CHANGED, PRESS AND HOLD THE UP/DOWN
ARROWS AT THE SAME TIME TO CONTINUE CALIBRATION PROCEDURE.
STEERING CALIBRATION: STEP 4
FOR REFERENCE, WE ARE GOING TO SELECT THE LEFT FRONT. PRESS “1”
STEERING CALIBRATION: STEP 5
STEP 1: LOWER MACHINE MANUALLY UNTIL THE DRUM TOUCHES THE SURFACE.
NOTE: WHEN SETTING ZERO MAKE SURE MACHINE IS ON A FLAT LEVEL SURFACE. A
CONCRETE PAD IS IDEAL.
ELEVATION CALIBRATION:STEP 3
1. USE THE TOGGLE SWITCHES TO RAISE THE MACHINE ALL THE WAY UP
PRESS AND HOLD THE “DOWN” BUTTON UNTIL THE LEGS STOP MOVING.
NOTE: WHEN THE MACHINE IS LOWERED ALL THE WAY DOWN. THE MACHINE WILL BE
SITTING ON THE DRUM.
IN THIS MENU, ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE MADE TO MACHINE CUT DEPTH. YOU CAN EITHER CHOOSE FROM
AN ARRAY OF PRE-SET CUT DEPTHS (4”,6”,8”,10”,12”,14”,16”) OR YOU CAN MANUALLY SET A CUSTOM CUT
DEPTH. TO MANUALLY SET A CUSTOM CUT DEPTH, USE THE “UP” AND “DOWN” DIRECTIONAL ARROW
BUTTONS UNTIL THE NEEDED CUT DEPTH IS ATTAINED.
THE CURRENT CUT-DEPTH SETPOINT WILL BE DISPLAYED IN THE CENTER OF THE SCREEN

IN THIS MENU, STEERING SENSOR VOLTAGE CAN BE MONITORED WHEN STEERING THE
MACHINE.
• PRESS “8” BUTTON TO RETURN THE STEERING CENTER ONCE THE JOYSTICK IS CENTERED

IN THIS MENU, ELEVATION SENSOR VOLTAGE CAN BE MONITORED WHEN RAISING THE
MACHINE. THIS MENU IS DESIGNED TO DISPLAY ACTIVITY. NO ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE MADE
FROM THIS MENU.
IN THIS MENU, ELEVATION AND STEERING ACTIVITY CAN BE MONITERED. THIS MENU IS DESIGNED
TO DISPLAY FUNCTION ACTIVITY. NO ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE MADE FROM THE MENU.
IN THIS MENU, ADDITIVE SYSTEM ACTIVITY CAN BE MONITORED. THIS INCLUDES INDIVIDUAL
SPRAY NOZZLE ACTIVATION, OVERALL SYSTEM ACTIVATION, SYSTEM MODE SELECTION (AUTO
OR MANUAL) AND ADDITIVE FLOW INTENSITY (MANUAL MODE ONLY). THIS MENU IS DESIGNED TO
DISPLAY ACTIVITY. NO ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE MADE FROM THIS MENU.
IN THIS MENU, HOOD ACTIVITY, BRAKE SWITCH, HORN SWITCH, IGNITION AND THROTTLE CAN
BE MONITORED. THIS MENU IS DESIGNED TO DISPLAY ACTIVITY. NO ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE
MADE FROM THIS MENU.
IN THIS MENU, MILLIAMP ACTIVITY TO COMPONENTS SUCH AS PUMPS AND MOTORS CAN BE
MONITORED. THIS MENU IS DESIGNED TO DISPLAY ACTIVITY. NO ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE MADE
FROM THIS MENU.
IN THIS MENU, MILLIAMP ACTIVITY TO REAR STEERING VALVES AND REAR ELEVATION CAN
BE MONITORED, AS WELL AS REAR MOTOR ACTIVITY. THIS MENU IS DESIGNED TO DISPLAY
ACTIVITY. NO ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE MADE FROM THIS MENU.
IN THIS MENU, MILLIAMP ACTIVITY TO THE ADDITIVE SYSTEM IS DISPLAYED. THIS MENU IS
DESIGNED TO DISPLAY ACTIVITY. NO ADJUSTMENTS CAN BE MADE FROM THIS MENU.
THIS SCREEN ALLOWS YOU TO SET THE UNIT OF MEASUREMENT FOR THE
MACHINE.

Height is 8” to 10”
ALARM ALARM
ON OFF
THIS SCREEN SHUTS OFF THE WARNING ALARM IN THE CAB. IF AN ERROR OCCURS ON THE
MACHINE AND THE ALARM IN THE CAB SOUNDS. ONE COULD TURN THE CAB ALARM OFF AT
THIS SCREEN UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS RESOLVED.
THIS SCREEN SHOULD ALREADY BE SET-UP FOR THE MODEL OF MACHINE FROM THE
FACTORY.
IF SWITCHING DRUMS IN THE MACHINE, THIS SCREEN ALLOWS YOU TO MAKE THE
APPROPRIATE DEPTH OFFSET FOR THE NEW DRUM.
SX-8E AND EX
MACHINES WILL NOT
HAVE THIS OPTION.
