Jiangsu Jinshi Machinery Group: Product Introduction For Ecuador Multi-Bowl Wellhead
Run the 13.3/8″casing to the desired depth and cement the casing as required.
Measure 20” conduit and 13.3/8” casing, the difference in height is about 610mm, then cut 13.3/8″casing.
Burnish casing end face to 10×30°. Burnish seal position of casing string external surface with abrasive
cloth. Then daub passing casing string external surface of seal ring with lubrication.
Normal Installation
Inspect this multi-bowl wellhead : ①Every seal area and seal components are free of any damage ;
② Two inside 13.3/8″ casing seal rings shall be in good condition; ③All plugs, injection fittings and lock
studs are free of damage.
Pick up the multi-bowl wellhead and land it on casing ensuring this wellhead as level as possible,
regulate orientation at two sides of the multi-bowl wellhead body, and stand it, then slowly lower this
multi-bowl wellhead body to avoid damaging to the casing seal ring .
After landing at positive stop, adjust adjustable bolt on support disc.
Check the level of wellhead top flanged face with level bar. If not level, adjust adjustable bolt on support
disc. After adjust level, lock four looking bolts.
Disassemble the 1/2″ plug between two seal rings of 13.3/8” casing at bottom of this multi-bowl
wellhead , then carry out pressure test here to 21MPaor 80% of casing collapse pressure, whichever is
less, and hold 15 minutes.
After the successful test, take out test pump and bleed off the pressure.
Symmetrically screw in eight tighten bolts of split base, to insure split cut into casing, the moment of
screw in should exceed(or equal to) 250N.m.
Loose four locking bolts on support disc, adjust four locking bolts and check if slip seize casing or not
(or lift 5-10 ton with hook to check if casing head slip seize casing or not), then lock four locking bolts.

Run the protector R/R tool ensuring four lugs on the tool
are fully engaged with grooves on bowl protector,
clockwise rotate this tool 55° , then retrieve the R/R
tool and take it out together with bowl protector slowly
to avoid damaging to the seal.
Normal Installation
Run the 9.5/8″ casing to the desired depth, and make up the last joint casing to the 9.5/8″ mandrel
casing hanger bottom.
Make up the mandrel casing hanger R/R tool to 9.5/8″ BCSG drilling pipe, Thread the R/R tool into the
9.5/8″ mandrel casing hanger by rotating the tool anti-clockwise. About 8 laps.
Upon completion of firm connecting, run the 9.5/8″ casing hanger until it lands on 45°shoulder in multi-
bowl wellhead body.
Commence with cementing operation for 9.5/8″ casing as required .
Rotating the tool anti-clockwise. About 8 laps.
Disengage the R/R tool from mandrel casing hanger by rotating the r/r tool, then pull out this tool taking
care not to damage the seal.
Normal Installation
Inspect the pack-off assembly and R/R tool to make sure all seal parts are clean and undamaged.
Make up the upper pack-off R/R tool ( 4.1/2"IF BOX ) to drill pipe, and settle against the packoff. Thread
the lower acme screw into packoff entirely by rotating this tool anti-clockwise. About 8 laps.
Slowly run the packoff through BOP until it lands on the mandrel casing hanger.
Make sure packoff entirely landing on positive stop of the casing hanger, tighten corresponding lock down
screw to lock the packoff.
Carry out pressure test to the packoff from corresponding test port of the multi-bowl wellhead . If the test
failed, the seal ring may be damaged, and then replace the ring to reinstall the packoff as above mentioned
procedures until successful test.
After successful test, clockwise rotating the tool (About 8 laps) to disengage from the packoff entirely, and
then back out this tool carefully to avoid damaging to the seal.
Normal Installation
Run the protector R/R tool ensuring four lugs on the tool are
fully engaged with grooves on bowl protector, clockwise
rotate this tool 55° , then retrieve the R/R tool and take it
out together with bowl protector slowly to avoid damaging to
the seal.
Normal Installation
Coat the tubing hanger seal rings with lubricant and slowly lower it until this
hanger lands on packoff, then rotate the R/R tool clockwise 4.5 turns to
release the spring lock ring , and then this lock ring expands into
corresponding groove in the tubing hanger packoff to lock the tubing hanger.
If failed to be locked, anti-clockwise rotate the tool into the tubing hanger,
and reset this hanger until be locked in.
Run the tubing together with control line of length specified into desired depth.
Make up the last joint tubing into tubing hanger bottom, and connect the control line into 1/2" thread
hole at bottom of tubing hanger. Connect the TAURUS penetrator and cable.
Align guide pin with the notch of tubing hanger. Slowly run the tubing hanger and packoff through
BOP until it lands on the tubing head 45°shoulder.
Make sure packoff entirely landing on positive stop of the casing hanger, tighten corresponding lock
down screw to lock the packoff.
Normal Installation
3.1/2” TUBING
Disengage the tool from tubing hanger by clockwise rotating the tool 10 laps above, then pull out this tool
taking care not to damage the seal.
Disassemble BOP stack.
Normal Installation
Examine the top flange, and tubing hanger metal seal ring, ensuring clean and intact.
Wash the upper seal area of the split unihead and the tubing hanger seal area where install a clean
and intact RX57 steel seal ring, and place a metal seal ring on the extended neck of tubing hanger,
then install top flange and tighten stud bolt until there the distance is 11.9mm between two
flanges. Carry out pressure test to annulus space among top flange, tubing hanger and the split
unihead body, the pressure is , and hold this pressure for 4minutes.
Install a clean steel seal ring on top flange and hoist the tree. After installing the tree, connect other
pipeline.
Normal Installation
When installing 9.5/8″casing, this casing may be stuck to fail into desired depth, which will cause that
the threaded casing hanger fails to land on stop position, then the emergency slip shall be applied,
the installation is as the following procedure:
Pick up casing to desired height in order to leave enough space for installing emergency slip, then
cement the casing. (NOTE: Cement should be kept off ground in order to leave enough space
for installing emergency slip).
Disassemble the split unihead from corresponding position, pick up disassembled parts to desired
height.
Pull up the casing with about 5 ton overhead tension.
Separate the emergency slip to wrap around the casing, then tighten pins and slide the emergency slip
down along the casing until lands on corresponding position in the split unihead, loosen the casing to
be locked in by slip.
Remain enough desired part of casing, cut and remove the excessive casing, chamfer this cut.
Install the packoff on positive stop as the procedures of Mandrel Casing Hanger Packoff.
Reset disassembled split unihead to primary position.
Carry out pressure test to packoff of the emergency slip with rated working pressure or 80% of casing
collapse pressure, whichever is less.
After successful test, install other parts as usual procedures.
