LEADERSHIP
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST: OUR
PERFECT EXAMPLE
Philippians 2:5-8
5.Have this attitude in yourselves which was in Christ
Jesus.
6.Who, although He existed in the form of God, did
not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped.
7.But emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-
servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
8.Being found in the appearance of a man, He
humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point
of death, even to the death on a cross.
v.5- Have this attitude in yourselves which was in Christ Jesus.
Christ-like Attitude
Kjv- Let this mind be in you…
Christ-like motives, attitudes, thoughts, purpose and priorities
can only prevail in a Christ-like mind.
>Mark 10:35-44-
v.43-“Whoever desires to be great among you shall be your
servant.”
v.44- “Whoever desires to be the first shall be slave of all.”
>Romans 12:2-Be not conformed to this world but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind…
v.6-Who, although He existed in the form of God, did
not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped.
He considered His Deity as an opportunity for
service
>Colossians 2:9- “For in Him dwells all the fullness
of the God-head bodily. (NKJV)
>John 1:14- “And the Word became flesh and
dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the
glory as of the Only begotten of the Father, full of
grace and truth.”
v.7-But emptied Himself, taking the form of a
bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of
men.
He gave up His rights for others
Mark 10:44- “For even the Son of man did not
come to be served but to serve, and to give His
life a ransom for many.”
v.8-Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself
by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on
the cross.
He demonstrated genuine humility and loving obedience
Luke 22:3- saying “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup
away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours be done.”
Isaiah 53:6- All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of
us has turned to each own way; But the Lord caused the
iniquity of us all to fall on Him.
1 Peter 2:21- FOR YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED FOR THIS PURPOSE, SINCE CHRIST
ALSO SUFFERED FOR YOU, LEAVING YOU AN EXAMPLE FOR YOU TO FOLLOW
IN HIS STEPS.
Philippians 2:9-11-FOR THIS REASON ALSO, GOD HIGHLY EXALTED
HIM AND BESTOWED ON HIM THE NAME WHICH IS ABOVE EVERY
NAME / SO THAT AT THE NAME OF JESUS EVERY KNEE WILL BOW,
OF THOSE WHO ARE IN HEAVEN AND EARTH AND UNDER THE EARTH /
AND THAT EVERY TONGUE WILL CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD,
TO THE GLORY OF THE FATHER.

1 Peter 5:6- Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of

God, that He may exalt you in due time.
***JESUS is a leader Who serves and a King
Who walks among His people.

***In Christ, we are set free to live this life

of Servant Leadership using who we are.
