The photo represents

the image of poverty.

People at the bottom of society, or the poorest of the poor, deserve a lot of help.
It's not only about meeting needs; it's also about addressing the root causes of the
problem.
This service involves collaboration with others in the spirit of mutuality and
partnership. Collaboration allows us to have a same vision when making decisions
about our common goal, so that everyone involved in this service feels co-responsible
for it. Serving the underprivileged isn't a one-man show, after all. The effectiveness of
service will be determined by the result and actions taken.
We are especially called to put our time, talent
and treasure in service of those in need and to be
that presence of the merciful God in the world.
A great way to respond to the many needs around
us is to practice the Corporal Works of Mercy.
Everyone is obliged to perform the works of mercy,
according to his own ability and the need of his
neighbor. It is important to remember that ordinary
deeds done every day to relieve the corporal or
spiritual needs of others are true works of mercy, if
done in the name of Christ.
Helping others, especially those who are less fortunate than ourself, can help to
put things into perspective and make us feel more positive about your own
circumstances.
Our hearts are designed for Vincentian service. It is not important to have a
position or a title to provide this service to the poor. It is entirely up to us to decide
how we want to aid others. Our presence and sympathy for people who suffer, in my
opinion, is the most effective means of exhibiting Vincentian service. Be the light that
brings hope and strength to others who are in despair. I recognize that God created us
to be unequal in status in order for us to fulfill our true purpose to one another. We are
created to live in neighborhoods with people who require our support.
There are many ways to assist the poor, and it is up to us to decide how to do it to
the best of our abilities without hesitation or doubt. St. Vincent's principles must instill
in us that all we do is because we want to, not because we are being forced to.
Vincentian service is needed in one of the problems nowadays- poverty. But, as an
average person who has enough means to get through the day, I believe I can help
people in need by providing basic necessities and giving in little ways that I could.
After all, help is appreciated, no matter how big or small, and prayer can truly
transform lives and uplift someone's spirit to continue facing the battle and trusting in
God's plan. In life, we are all confronted with a variety of difficulties. And, I think
problems make our life meaningful and grounded. Faith, on the other hand, keeps us
alive and keeps us going. Remember that we can all be the light in someone else's
darkness.
