 Healthcare Facility

 A healthcare facility is a location where healthcare is provided.

 With a wide range of available healthcare centers nowadays, patients have a
wide range to choose from.
 Healthcare facilities range from clinics, hospitals, urgent care centers, doctor’s
offices and nursing homes.
 A healthcare administrator can work in any of these centers.
 Thispresentation will discuss two categories of healthcare centers which are
hospitals and nursing homes.
 Hospitals as healthcare centers

 A hospital’s primary task is to provide short-term care.

 This is for people with severe health issues resulting from injury, disease or
genetic anomaly
l is an institution for healthcare typically providing specialized treatment for
inpatient (or overnight) stays.
 Some hospitals primarily admit patients suffering from a specific disease
 Hospitals are nowadays staffed by professionally trained doctors, nurses,
paramedical clinicians.
 East Orange General Hospital

 This is one of the biggest hospitals in East Orange.

 EastOrange General Hospital has been a trusted heath resource for
generations of families in the Newark area
 Paige Dworak is the Chief Executive officer of this hospital.
 This hospital has a wide range of services ranging from inpatient,
outpatient and communal programmes.
 Behavioral health services are also available for adults who require less
supervision.
 Nursing Home.

 A nursing home is designed for patients who require constant care.

 These patients do not need to be hospitalized and cannot be cared for at
home.
 Often associated with seniors who require custodial care in a residential
facility.
 Usually serve patients of all ages who require this level of care.
 Brookhaven Health Care Center

 This is one of the best nursing homes in East Orange as per my research.
 It has an overall rating of above average in terms service delivery.
 The facility has 122 beds with a for-profit individual ownership
 This facility participates only Medicare and Medicaid.
 This facility is located at 120 Park End Place East Orange.
 Conclusion

 Healthcare facilities can be categorized into various type.

 Some of the categories include hospitals , nursing homes and clinics.
 In the East Orange , the General hospital is one of the best hospital in terms
of service delivery.
 Brookhaven Nursing home qualifies to be an organized nursing home in the
area.
 These facilities have the leadership styles that I recommend and that are best
for an healthcare administrator.
