• The lovers have a day on our calendar to demonstrate
or reaffirm their love through gifts, dedications and
poems, but why on 14 February? Want to know the
legend of St. Valentine and source of this celebration?
There are several theories that give this date the origin
of Valentine's Day. In the Nordic countries during this
period when birds pair up and mate, which is why this
period is seen as a symbol of love and creation.
Some believe it is a Christianized pagan holiday, as in
ancient Rome was carried worship the god of love,
whose Greek name was Eros, whom the Romans called
Cupid. This celebration is called for the favors of God
through gifts and offerings to achieve and find the ideal
love.
 
 
• Valentine's Day, a day that couples celebrate all the love
and affection they have, are gifts, they often invite
women to a romantic dinner ... Each country is
celebrated in different ways because they are different
customs and religions. In Spain, was appointed as a
holiday when the Roman Catholic calendar devoted that
time to remember two Christian saints, one Valentine,
martyred by the Roman Emperor Claudius II. One theory
of this story, says that St. Valentine was killed for
marrying couples even though the emperor had
forbidden it. Apparently, the Roman ruler thought that
married soldiers were not as effective as singles. Over
time and through the centuries have created a myriad of
legends and traditions and Valentine's Day is now a time
devoted to showing affection to our loved ones, a day
when gifts are exchanged messages and show love and
friendship. And the Web is a great ally to carry out these
attentions with all the people we love February 14 .
