HOW TO DETECT COVID-19
RAPID TEST
Rapid tests, also known as rapid diagnostic tests or RDTs, are easy-to-use tests that provide quick results,
usually in 20 minutes or less. Unlike most standard tests, which have to be sent to a lab, rapid tests are done
and provide results at the point of care. The point of care is the place where you are getting care. It can include
your provider's office, a clinic, or even your own home.

SWAB AND PCR TEST

Swab and PCR are inseparable test methods to diagnose Covid-19. Swab is a way to obtain examination
material (sample). Swab is done on the nasopharynx and / or oropharynx. This collection is done by rubbing
the nasopharyngeal cavity and / or oropharynx using a tool such as a special cotton swab.

ANTIGEN TEST
Tests are self-administered at home using a simple shallow nasal swab. After specimen collection, rapid
antigen tests take approximately 15 minutes to show a result.
Testing is most accurate when there is a higher chance you have COVID-19 (e.g. you live in an area with high
numbers of cases, are showing symptoms, etc.).
