 This semester you will have 2 speeches

 Both speeches will be informative and will focus on your writing and
speaking

 The 1st speech is The State Speech and is worth 50 points

 The 2nd speech is The Informative Speech and is worth 100 points

 Both speeches will have the same rubric which means that you
should do much better on the 2nd speech than the 1st
Role Play

 This semester you will have 1 Role Play assignment.

 You will practice different scenarios with your partners and then Mr. Torres will
randomly choose one for you to role play.

 Ex. Ordering at a restaurant, talking to a doctor about your health, asking about
prices at the supermarket, travelling to a new destination, etc.

 This assignment is also worth 100 points!
