Brief Introduction of Organization

Over View Of Summit Bank


In October 2007, Arif Habib Securities Limited under the Scheme of
Amalgamation set by the State Bank of Pakistan acquired the Pakistan
Operations of Rupali Bank Limited; hence forming Arif Habib Bank. In 31st
March 2010, Suroor Investments Ltd, a Mauritius based investment firm,
acquired 59.41% stake in Arif Habib Bank Ltd from Arif Habib Securities
Ltd, and on the 18th of August 2010, Arif Habib Bank Ltd was rebranded as
Summit Bank Ltd.
Summit Banks parent company, Suroor Investments Ltd, later acquired
majority shares of My Bank Ltd and Atlas Bank Ltd in Pakistan. The
operations of the later mentioned banks were then merged under the single
umbrella of Summit Bank Ltd, thus expanding the Bank’s network to more
than 193 Branches

How to remove communicational barriers. I learned
when u work in a team or group you have to listen all
the ideas of others and then take a decision. Through
my university career I have idea of group work which
helped me a lot. Problem solving technique and
methods which I learned in my university helped me a
lot.

Attitude and values
O I got to know that hardworking is very
necessary but mostly am work smarter than
harder. Right attitude overcome obstacles in
easy way. Honesty, truthfulness matters a lot.

O The most challenging task which I done that
front line operations manager is absent and I
done his all work. This is the first time when I
interact to summit bank’s computer system.
This is the day which I personally open
account for customers and allot them numbers
of account.

O Centralization means when a decision is made, only
supervisors, directors can made the decisions. Lower staff
never involved in decision making process.
O Decentralization means decisions are made with the
consent of lower staffs and employees too. Supervisors
get ideas to the staff and try to innovate things which can
beneficial for organization and staff as well.
Work specialization:
O When Summit Bank wants to get specialized and accurate
work then task are divided into different jobs departments.

Employee’s recruitment and Selection:

A person can face many problems to select the best person for particular
job. Interviewer can notices and judge the person with their knowledge,
willing to do task, dedication towards their work, ability and skills then
they select the person for job.
Training and Development:
O Now there is a difference which can be understood first.
O Training is for present state and development is for future bases work.
O Training is needed when person face deficiency to do his/her work.
Training is done to overcome present deficiency. And development of
employees means to make your staff eligible to work in future with
better technology knowledge.

O I worked in Summit Bank with full dignity and


my full hard work. I noticed that Summit Bank
will do perfectly with their field. No such
harmful policies in this banking system. Every
employee is very passionate about their work.
Their formal yet friendly environment makes
employees into a unity which is a better state of
organization. I also noticed that if Summit Bank
make more advertisement they will go beyond
limits and make a successful banking system in
Pakistan
