DESIGN THINKING

Design Thinking is an iterative process in which we seek

to understand the user, challenge assumptions, and
redefine problems in an attempt to identify alternative
strategies and solutions that might not be instantly
apparent with our initial level of understanding. At the
same time, Design Thinking provides a solution-based
approach to solving problems. It is a way of thinking and
working as well as a collection of hands-on methods.

DEFINE
NOW WE HAVE TO CONSIDER WHO IS BEING AFFECTED BY THE PROBLEM? WHO ARE WE EMPHATHIZING WITH?
FARMERS WHO ARE SELLING THEIR GOODS AT VERY LOW COST AND CANNOT REGAIN HIS INVESTMENTS

NOW IS MORE INFORMATION IS SHOULD BE OBSERVED LIKE THE COMMITES AND GOVERNMENTAL ISSUES
WHERE ARE THE USERS ARE LOCATED?

WE NEED TO DEVOLOPE A WEBSITE FOR FARMERS WHO LIVE IN RURAL AREA WHO HAVN’T HEIRTHEIR
ACTUAL WORTH OF THEIR GOODS SO WE ARE MAKING A WAY TO UNDERSTAND THEIR ACTUAL WORTH

THERE ARE OTHER POINTS THAT COULD BE FACTORED IN WHILE DEFINING THE PROBLEM
FURTHER.WHY DOES IT MATTER? WHAT WILL THIS PROBLEM SOLVE? A MORE DEFINED PROBLEM
STATEMENT AFTER FACTORING ALL ASPECTS WOULD BE.

MERS WHO ARE SELLING THEIR GOODS AT VERY LOW PRICE,A REMIDE SHOULD
DE, A WEBSITE SHOULD BE MADE FOR DIRECT SELLING
D TRADE WHERE THE SURPLUS AMOUNT OF DEMAND ARISES,WITHOUT A MIDDLE MA
RODUCT’S PRICE CAN BE DETERMINED BY ONE WHO PRODUCED
D CAN TAKE HIS WHOLE PROFIT

Presence of Too Many Intermediates/Middlemen results
in the exploitation of both farmers and consumers with
the middlemen offering lower prices to farmers and
charging higher prices from the consumers. ... results in a
higher transaction cost and low price realization by the
farmers in a regulated market.

PLAY OF APMC ACT IN INDIA

The Tamil Nadu government has on June 2 amended the state's Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act 1987 to
allow farmers to sell their produce freely as per their choice and convenience. ... Earlier, farmers were limited to state-run
Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMCs).

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare told Lok Sabha in February this year that there are 6,946
regulated wholesale APMC mandis as on March 2020. The e-NAM website data shows that 1,000 mandis
(14 per cent) across 18 States and 3 Union Territories are integrate

India’s growth of real GDP has been high with average
growth of 7.5 per cent in the last 5 years (2014-15 onwards).
The Indian economy grew at 6.8 per cent in 2018-19, thereby
experiencing some moderation in growth when compared to
the previous year. This moderation in growth momentum is
mainly on account of lower growth in ‘Agriculture & allied’,
‘Trade, hotel, transport, storage, communication and services
related to broadcasting’ and ‘Public administration & defence’
sectors. Acreage in 2018-19 for the rabi crop was marginally
lower than last year, which affected agricultural performance.
The contraction in food prices may have contributed to
inducing farmers to produce less. On the demand side, lower
growth of GDP in 2018-19 was accounted for, by a decline in
growth of government final consumption, change in stocks
and contraction in valuables.
