RECREATIONAL NEEDS OF THE

POPULATION AND THE THEORETICAL

AND METHODOLOGICAL PROBLEMS

Rassul Zhanuzakov
WHAT IS “RECREATION”
 "Recreation is that human activity, free, pleasurable,
carried out individually or collectively, aimed at
perfecting man, gives him the opportunity to use his free
time in spontaneous and organized occupations, which
allow him to return to the vital world of nature and
incorporates him into the creative world of culture that
serve his community integration and the meeting of his
own "I", and that tend, ultimately, to his fullness and
happiness".
RECREATION
 Recreation has acquired a recognition and a current
importance in the life of today's man, physical activities
in leisure time are considered as a necessity for all
human beings that enables quality of life and recreation
in the population, which benefit man in his physical
capacity, in health, in communication levels, in human
development, essential factors in social development.
 Recreation as a sociocultural phenomenon, as a
reproductive activity becomes another element in the
process of formation of conscience in the integral
development of the personality. The use of recreation in
leisure time is a contemporary need and is increasingly
becoming an important part of the standard of living of
society, and is also of great significance for the
multilateral formation of the new man we aspire to form
in the present and future. The quality of life of a person
is influenced by several factors; one of them is
recreation.
 Among the different types of recreational activities are
the dynamic or physical ones, which contribute directly
to the growth and physical development of the person,
including sports, games and physical activities, hobbies,
music, arts and crafts, dance, drama and outdoor, mental
and social recreation.
 Despite this wide range of alternatives offered by
recreation, few people enjoy them, which is a weakness
in a person's life, since, due to this lack, risk factors that
affect physical and mental health may appear.
RECREATIONAL PROBLEMS
 In spite of the efforts to provide physical and recreational
activities with the quality that the population deserves,
the participation of the population in the recreational
activities offered was very poor; on the other hand, there
was an increase in lifestyles that are not in accordance
with the values of our society.
