WING
• Largest wing for a wide body single deck aircraft
• curved wing (sabre like point) curves upwards over 4.4 m

Specs:
• wing sweep: 31.9 degree
• wing span: 64.75 meter (212ft 5in)
• wing area: 442 square meter (4760 square feet)

AIRFRAME STUCTURE
Incidents
•On 9th November 2019, an Asiana

Airlines A350 flying from Seoul to Singapore.

•After take-off one hour, a drink was spilled to the cockpit. This lead to engine

shutdown.

•Due to engine issues, aircraft diverted to Manila on the same day.

Incidents
•On 21st January 2020, a Delta Air Lines A350-900 flying from Detroit to

Seoul.

•This prompted a diversion just 15 minutes after spilled coffee leading to

engine failure.
Temporary Solution
•EASA defined that a liquid-free zone must within the cockpit.
•A cover for critical controls in the A350 cockpit, to protect them from
liquid spillage.
•The EASA has instructed all A350 operators to install the new covers
within 28 days.
Final Fix
•FlightGlobal is reporting that Airbus has redesigned the vulnerable area.
•The vulnerable area is also known as the integrated control panel (ICP).
•The new ICP is liquid-resistant.
Conclusion
A350 is the most technology-laden large aircraft, with a 64.75 meters wingspan,
that will be operated by various airlines which having long-distance routes as its
suites the needs in this new era. It is efficient enough to save our earth as A350
emit less carbon dioxide gases compared to other aircraft.
