AUSTRALIA
It is the largest coral reef in the world. The largest of
the Earth, the only visible from the moon living being.
The Great Barrier Reef is a habitat for many species,
you can find a lot of fish, estimated in 1800 species,
125 of sharks and more than 5000 species of
molluscs. In addition to about 400 species of coral.
This environment is protected by the so-called Great
Barrier Reef Marine Park, included in the list of
World Heritage of Unesco since 1981.

The First European Explorer Who Saw The Great


Barrier Reef Was Captain James Cook On His
Voyage Of 1768. Cook Discovered The Reef When It
Ran Aground On June 11, 1770.
The reef is located in the coral sea, off the
coast of Queensland in northeast Australia.
