Text.
Entitled “Joko Widodo”
 What is Report Text?

Report Text is a text which

presents information about
something generally, as it is.
It is results of systematic
observation and analysis.
 The Generic Structure

Tells what the

phenomenon under
discussion is like in item
Tells what the
of habbits,food,phisycal
phenomenon under feature, qualities
discussion is. (It is (use),quantities,
about Joko Widodo) behaviour.
 Communicative Purpose

1. To inform factual information about

specific subject.
2. To inform the reader about “Joko
Widodo” in General.
3. To describe something systematically.
 Generic Features
1. Report text usually used
Simple Present Tense and
seldom use Past Tense if the
thing is extinct.
2. The language is neutral or
should be objective, no
expressions of opinions, no
reference to the reader, not
using “I” , “We” , or “You”.
3. Frequent use of Passive
Sentences
4. Use of “be” : is , am ,
are (for the classification).
5. Use of verb “have” :
have, has, had (in order
to give detail
description).
6. Use of action verbs
related to the topic,
especially when
describing behaviours.
7. Use of adjectives in
describing especially the
qualities
8. Often accompanied
by photos, diagrams,
maps, and illustrations.

Text.
We take the Report Text Of
Joko Widodo.
Ir. H. Joko Widodo is the President of
Republic Indonesia.
He is Indonesia’s seventh president.
He often calls Jokowi
Before entering politics, he was a
furniture bussinesman.
In 2005, he became the Mayor of
Surakarta.
But after two years undergoing the second
period, he became Jakarta’s Governer
with Deputy Governer Basuki Tjahaja
Purnama or Ahok.
 Again and again, before he finished his
time as Jakarta’s Governer, he was offered
by PDI-P party to be the candidate of
President Republic Indonesia with Jusuf
Kalla as the Vice President.
 Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla became the
President and Vice President of Republic
Indonesia on 20th October 2014
Mr. Jokowi has a wife named
Mrs. Ariana.
They have three children. Two sons and
one daughter. They are Gibran
Rakabuming Raka, Kahiyang Ayu, and
Kaesang Pangarep.
Of the two married children,
Jokowi has two grandchildren
 Mr . Jokowi often uploads his
activities on his social media account.
He once held a quiz with bicycle prize that
had boomed in people of Indonesia.
 He often sees wearing white shirt and black
trousers or batik clothes that make him simple
He is also friendly and caring for
the Indonesian peoples.

he is often uses
as a
inspiration
figure.
