What is Self-Control?
definition: Self-control is the capacity to override an impulse in order to
respond appropriately.

3 Parts of Self-Control:
1. Monitoring
        Keeping track of your thoughts, feelings and actions
2. Standards
        Guidelines that steer us toward desirable responses
        What you want to happen
3. Strength
        Energy we need to control our impulses
4 Ways to Improve our
Self-Control:
1. Mental Energy Accountant
        Being mindful of when to spend and when to conserve their mental energy will
help students navigate their environment and achieve their goals.
2. Build Self Control Strength
        You can strengthen your self-control by doing seemingly unrelated self-control
tasks.
3. Play Offense against your Environment
        Identify one way they can change their environment to help them achieve a specific
goal.
4. Take the Mind out of the Middle
        Self-control hurts because we have to battle against ourselves.
