    The Vicente Fuentes Elementary School launched its School Reading Program in November 2021 with support from the Barangay SK group and teachers. While the pandemic created challenges, each purok (small community) established an aralan (learning area) led by a teacher facilitator to guide tutors in teaching reading to struggling students. In November and February, the school conducted pre-assessments of students' reading abilities through home visitations and competitions at the district and municipal levels. Coaches and parents worked together to help participants practice and master their pieces for the competitions.
