ORIGINATED?
• The idea of Artificial intelligence was
driven by Alan Turing, a young British
polymath who explored the
mathematical possibility of artificial
intelligence. Turing suggested that
humans use available information as
well as reason in order to solve
problems and make decisions, so why
can't machines do the same thing?
•He developed the Turing test . It is a
test of a machine's ability to exhibit
intelligent behaviour equivalent to, or
indistinguishable from, that of a
human.

•The history of Artificial Intelligence (AI) began in antiquity,
with myths, stories and rumours of artificial beings endowed
with intelligence or consciousness by master craftsmen.
•The first work which is now recognized as AI was done by
Warren McCulloch and Walter pits in 1943. They proposed a
model of artificial neurons. Year 1949: Donald Hebb
demonstrated an updating rule for modifying the connection
strength between neurons. His rule is now called Hebbian
learning.
•The brainstorming session held in 1956 laid the foundation of
AI in t5oday’s world witnessed in presence of John
Mccarthy,Marvin Minsky,Nathanie Rochester and Claud E.
Shannon.

• In the past few years, AI
evolved into a powerful tool that
enables machines to think and act
like humans. Moreover,
it has garnered focus from tech
companies around the world and is
considered as the next significant
technological shift after
the evolution in mobile and cloud
platforms . We are currently in
the 5th generation of artificial
intelligence
