Chadwick Boseman

Movie title
I would name my movie Becoming
Black Panther : Chadwicks Legacy
Although he starred in many films,
Black Panther was his most influential
across pop culture and will continue to
help pave the way to more
blockbusters featuring all black casts

“We know what it’s like to be told there isn’t a screen

for you to be featured on, a stage for you to be featured
on. ... We know what’s like to be beneath and not
above. And that is what we went to work with every
day,” said Boseman.
Casting his movie
I think Michael B Jordan would be a great
candidate to play him as they were close friends
and he would play the part with love.
Also in the movie could be Samuel L Jackson,
Lupita Nyong’o, Jamie Foxx, Mahershala ali and
many other influential black actors
His legacy in film
I chose Chadwick because of the legacy he
was able to create in such a short time.
He represented an underrepresented
community and became an icon adults and
kids alike.
He struggled with cancer in secret and gave
kids a hero that not only looks like them,
but one that was worthy to look up to.
The beginning
Chadwick was born November 29, 1976 in North
Carolina
He was an aspiring actor and playwright
He graduated from Howard University in Washington
D.C. with a BFA in directing
After college he moved to New York City to work with
Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture as a
drama teacher
Influential Movie Roles
Chadwick took on extremely influential black roles such as:
42 (2013) portraying Jackie Robinson
Get On Up (2014) portraying James
Brown
Gods of Egypt (2016) portraying Thoth
Marshall (2017) portraying civil rights
icon Thurgood Marshall
Black Panther (2018) The first African
American superhero T’challa
His silent struggle with Cancer

In 2016, Chadwick was diagnosed with stage 3

cancer
He was privately undergoing surgeries and
chemotherapy while still working in films
He visited terminally ill children in children's
hospitals while undergoing the same situation
On August 28, 2020 he passed away in his
home after a 4 year battle at the age of 43
