Classroom

Introduction
A written language is the representation
of a spoken or gestural language by means of
a writing system.
Writing is usually permanent and written
texts cannot usually be changed once they
have been printed.
Developing written Language
o Written language is the written form of
communication which include both reading and
writing.
o Language learning is incomplete without
developing writing skills.
o Writing skill is one of the most challenging skill
for language learners.
o It is a productive skill in which one are
expected to communicate their idea with other
in a written form.
o Writing is an act of communication where
one can practice their skills of using
grammar , vocabulary and also put their
ideas together in function.
Some guidelines to nurture the written
language:
Encourage students to write letter and
composition.
Provide tools for writing .
Ask students to mark punctuation.
Recognize writing as a process.

This is planning, gather points and outline
ideas, often using diagram for mapping their
thoughts.
Drafting:
Arrange the thoughts and ideas in an
organised way.
Revising:
It is to improve the draft by review, modify,
reorganize the work by rearranging it.
Editing:
It is an important process in writing,
writers proofread and correct errors in
grammar and spelling
Publishing:
This is the last step of writing process.
