CLIMATE CHANGE

INTRODUCTION

The term "climate change" refers to a shift in weather patterns and

conditions. We are experiencing rapid changes in the climate due
to various factors. Without a doubt, our earth is experiencing
rising global temperatures. Do you think it's something to be
concerned about? Well yes, you might have heard about the
melting glaciers which are resulting in rising sea levels. The
climate has drastically changed because of hazardous factors such
as pollution, coal burning, industrial waste disposal in the
atmosphere, etc. All of these factors will have an impact on society
and environmental resources. As a solution to climate change, one
must foster social awareness and implement stringent measures to
protect and preserve the environment.
WHAT IS CLIMATE CHANGE?
Climate change is the change
in the average weather
conditions. It can be said that
climate change is responsible
for the change in normal
climatic conditions. These
changes result in heavy
storms, heat waves, floods,
melting glaciers, etc. The
Earth is experiencing many
changes with respect to climate,
and these changes are having an impact on the livelihood of people
and other species. Global warming is one such aspect of climate
change. Consequently, carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases are
released into the atmosphere.
WHY IS IT HAPPENING?
NATURAL REASONS
Among them are volcanic eruptions, solar
radiation, tectonic plate movements, and orbital
variations. These activities have impacted the
geographical conditions of an area in a way that
makes it quite harmful to life to survive there.
Moreover, these activities cause the temperature of
the earth to rise significantly, thereby causing an
imbalance in nature.

HUMAN REASONS
A man's need and greed have caused him to conduct many activities that not only
harm the environment but also himself. Human activity has contributed to the
extinction of many plant and animal species. Deforestation, the use of fossil fuels,
industrial waste, many types of pollution, and many other human activities all
contribute to climate change. All of this has a significant adverse impact on the
climate and ecosystem.
GREENHOUSE GASES

 When we burn fossil fuels we

release greenhouse gases into
the atmosphere.

 Greenhouse gases keep our
planet warm.

 By releasing more and more

greenhouse gases into the
atmosphere, we are causing
our planet to warm up very
quickly.
WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Climate change is damaging natural environments across our planet.

IMPACTS ON SOCIETY

We have constructed our daily existence as a society around

historical and contemporary climate conditions. We are
used to a certain range of situations and may be sensitive to
extremes outside of that range. Climate change could have
an impact on our society by affecting a variety of social,
cultural, and natural resources. Climate change, for
example, could have an impact on human health,
infrastructure, and transportation, as well as energy, food,
and water sources.
POSITIVE IMPACTS ON SOCIETY
Increase in Food Crop Production

Most food crops grow in and near

temperate zones with high
humidity, as is general known.
Climate change and the
associated rise in global
temperatures should allow
diverse countries to grow their
own food crops instead of relying
on Asia to feed the world. That is
an exaggeration, but it is also, to some extent, accurate. With a 2°C
increase in daily temperatures, you should be able to grow the food
crops you require while saving money.
