•Two representatives from
each section are invited to
join the contest.

• The participants will provide
their own illustration
(tag)boards. Chalks are
provided by the spelling master.

•There will be three levels for
this contest, namely: easy,
average, and difficult rounds.
Each level has 10 words to be
spelled correctly.

• For the easy round,
participants who get a score of
8 – 10 points will join the next
round. This will be a WRITTEN
SPELLING.

• For the average round, the qualified participants
will simultaneously spell the same word from
time to time. Whoever spells an incorrect word
will be eliminated from the second round. The
last two remaining participants will be
considered the final ones to battle in the final
round. This will also be a WRITTEN SPELLING.

• For the difficult round, each student will be given
different words to spell. Through a toss coin bet, the
student whose bet faces upward will be considered
the first one to spell ORALLY. The student who
misspells a word, will be considered eliminated if the
other student, in turn, can correct it. In the ORAL
SPELLING, the participant must utter the word first,
then spell out, then say the word again.

•For the easy and average rounds, 5
seconds will be given for the
participants to spell each word. For
the difficult round, 10 seconds will
be allotted per word.

•In every round, the spelling
master will read the spelling
word, its part of speech,
meaning, and example
sentence.

•Contestants must write the word
after the “go” signal. Any student
who starts writing without the “go”
signal will automatically be
disqualified from the contest.

• For every correct
spelling, one point must
be given per correct
word.

•Facilitators will be tasked to count
all scores of the participants, and
will help in the validation of correct
words. Score sheets will be
provided for them for every round.

• The last remaining
speller will be declared
as the contest’s WINNER.
