My original idea:

■ For my first idea, I have thought of a Coming of Age

Film, showing the childhood of two best
friends, living in 1980 rural England. The friendship is
strong, but the two loose contact when one
is transported to London for boarding school. Years
later, they long to find each other- have they
changed significantly and will they reconnect?
 Hard to create an 80’s vision;
cars, clothing etc

Would be difficult to film in

Why not? London, portrarying a different
era.

Liked the idea of friendship, but

couldn’t think how it could end.
Change in idea:

■ Change to present day.

■ Main characters from boy/girl to girl/girl due to
actors.
■ The best friend leaves when they are slightly older.
■ Focusing the growth on Emily, rather than Rosie.
■ Growth of her character.
■ Rosie is still there, Emily doesn’t need to find her, she
needs to find herself.
