Summary

1. Rate transient analysis (RTA) can determine the different flow


regimes by identifying the slope of the curve in the logarithmic
coordinate.
2. The permeability of matrix and fracture can be estimated by this
RTA, but there are some errors.
3. Local grid refinement can improve the accuracy of simulation in
the zone with large pressure drop near fractures.
