What is ANSI ESD S20:20?

For the Development of an Electrostatic Discharge Control Program for – Protection of
Electrical and Electronic Parts, Assemblies and Equipment (Excluding Electrically Initiated
Explosive Devices)
 ई.एस.डी चे नियम
1) ESD protection is everybody's responsibility.
इ.एस. डी.बाबत संरक्षण करणे हि प्रत्येकाची जबाबदारी आहे.

2) Before entering in to the ESD-protected areas, we should:-

२) इ.एस. डी संरक्षित क्षेत्रांमध्ये प्रवेश करण्यापूर्वी, आपण हे के ले पाहिजे:-

a) Wear & zip/ Buttons our ESD smock or ESD jackets to the fullest to cover our street clothing.
अ) इ.एस.डी. स्मोक आणि इ.एस.डी. जाकीट अशा प्रकारे घाला कि पूर्ण कपडे आच्छादले जातील, आणि सर्व पिन्स/बटन्स लावा.
b) Wear ESD shoes.
ब) इ.एस.डी. शूज घाला.

c) Tie your hair. Hairs should be under the smock if your hair length is shoulder Level.
क) तुमचे के स घट्ट बांधा. तुमच्या के सांची लांबी खांद्यापेक्षा जास्त असेल तर के स हे स्मोक च्या आतमध्येच ठेवा.

d) Test ESD shoes every entrance.

ड) प्रत्येक प्रवेशाच्या वेळी तुमचे शूजची चाचणी घ्या.

e) Test wrist strap. Wrist strap is needed for seated operations.

इ) रिस्ट स्ट्रॅपची चाचणी घ्या. रिस्ट स्ट्रॅप हे सिटींग ओपेरतिओन साठी गरजेचे आहे.
f) Shoe cover is not allowed for employees it is only allowed for Customers .
फ) बूट कव्हर वापरण्याची परवानगी कर्मचार्यांना नाही, हे वापरण्याची परवानगी फक्त customerलाच आहे.

3) At the ESD-protected areas, we should:-

३) इ.एस. डी संरक्षित क्षेत्रांमध्ये प्रवेश के ल्यानंतर , आपण हे के ले पाहिजे:-

a) Wear wrist strap when you are seated & handling ESD-sensitive items & products.
अ) जेंव्हा तुम्ही बसलेले असाल आणि संवेदनशील वस्तू किं वा उत्पादन हाताळत असाल तर रिस्ट स्ट्रॅप वापरा.
Note: Wrist strap cuffs should be in contact with the body skin when worn.
सूचना:-रिस्ट स्ट्रॅप हे शरीराच्या कातड्याला स्पर्श करणारे असावे.
Do not wear wrist strap cuffs on top of gloves or sleeves of the normal clothes & ESD garments.
हातमोजे किं वा कपडे किं वा स्मोक यावरती रिस्ट स्ट्रॅप लावू नका

b) Ensure the workstation/Machine /Equipments is grounded using lugs and it is not loosely connected ,Need to do
grounding in parallel connection .
If found any disconnected wires or loose wrist strap plug points, inform supervisor immediately for the necessary
actions.

ब) वर्क स्टेशन / मशीन / उपकरणे हे lugs वापरून grounded के लेले आहेत आणि ते सैल कनेक्ट नाहीत याची खात्री करा. grounding हि समांतर कनेक्शनवर असावे.
जर कोणत्याही डिस्कनेक्ट झालेल्या वायर किं वा रिस्ट स्ट्रॅपचे प्लग सैल असतील,तर सुपरवायजरला त्वरित कळवा आणि आवश्यक ती क्रिया करा

c) Ensure all the Trolleys is having Chains for grounding
सर्व ट्रॉलीला grounding चैन आहेत याची खात्री करा.

d) Any Trolley or stand which is not ESD safe should be well identified and can be used only for storage of finish
product .
ड) एखादी ट्रॉली सुरक्षित नसेल तर त्यावर योग्य अशी खून करा जेणेकरून ते ओळखले जाईल आणि ते फक्त तयार झालेल्या

e) Ensure all the Trolleys,Magazines,Racks,Worktation is having Asset no on it and same should be visible
इ) खात्री करा कि वर्क स्टेशन, ट्रॉली, उपकरणे आणि magazines यांना Asset No आहे. आणि ते स्पष्ट दिसत आहेत.

f) Ensure all the Materials Bins Transporting Trays ,PCBA storage racks ,PCBA packing materials,Tempelate,wave pallets
are ESD safe and qualified by ESD Coordinator .
फ) खात्री करा कि सर्व साहित्य बिन्स, ट्रे, PCBA साठवण्याचे कपाट, PCBA चे प्याकिं ग्चे साहित्य, Template , wave pallets , हे सुरक्षित असावे. आणि ते ESD
Coordinator कडू न पात्र असावे.
g) Ensure all the operators are using ESD Qualified Finger cots and gloves for handing PCBA.
ग) कात्री करा कि operator PCBA हाताळताना ESD पात्र असलेले Finger Cots किं वा हातमोजे वापरतात.

h) All the insulators i.e. high static-generating materials should be kept > 12" from the ESD-sensitive items or products.
Examples of plastic paper, cotton clothes, pen, plastic wrapers, adhesive tapes, dust bins etc.
च) खात्री करा कि सर्व Insulator जे जास्त चार्ज तयार करतात ते ESD संवेदनशील वस्तू पासून किं वा उत्पादनापासून १२ इंच दूर आहे
उदा. plastic paper, cotton clothes, pen, plastic wrapers, adhesive tapes, dust bins इ.

i) Ensure that all the packing and foam sheets are having ESD safe sign ,If no sign is available the get it Qualified by ESD
Coordinator and then only use the material items
क) खात्री करा कि पॅकिं गआणि ESD फोम यांवर ESD सुरक्षित Sign आहेत नसेल तर त्या असायला हव्यात .
जर नसेल तर ते ESD coordinator कडू न पात्र आहेत कि नाही ते तपासा.

j) When there are ionizers, ensure the ionizers are functional & directed towards the ESD-sensitive items & products at
workstations with high-static charging items
ल) जर Ionizer वापरात असेल तर ते व्यवस्तीत कार्य करत असायला हवा आणि ते आगदी ESD संवेदनशील आणि उत्पादनाच्या चार्ज तयार करणाऱ्या भागासमोर असावा
m) Never place any personal belongings.
म) कोणत्याही वयक्तिक वस्तू उत्पादनाशेजारी ठेऊ नये

n) Always maintain good 5’s

न) नेहमी चांगला 5's राखा

4) IF IN DOUBT, CONTACT YOUR SUPERVISOR OR ESD COORDINATOR .

४)जर काही शंका असेल तर तुमच्या सुपरवायजरला किं वा ESD COORDINATOR .

5) DISCIPLINARY ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST OFFENDERS.

५)चुकीचे वर्तन करणाऱ्यावर शिस्त भंगाची कारवाई करण्यात येईल.

*Note: As per Ericsson customer special requirement such

1) ESD Wrist Belt / Footwear / Appran wear के ल्यानंतर ESD TESTER machine वर fig.1 मध्ये दाखवल्याप्रमाणे Left Foot आणी Right Foot
चौकोनाच्या मध्ये उभे रहा.

2)त्यांनतर footwear ok आहे का नाही पाहण्यासाठी Fig 2. मध्ये दाखवलेल्या Machine वरील Footwear चे Button press करा. जर Left Foot आणी
Right Foot या दोन्ही Foot च्या Green light लागल्या तर OK आहे. Red light लागली तर ते faulty (unusable)आहे. जर Right आणी Left या
दोन्ही footwear मधली एक ok दाखवत असेल तर दुसरी faulty आहे .

1) ESD Wrist Belt check करण्याआधी तो हातामध्ये व्यवस्थित घाला.Wrist Belt हे Body ला touch असायला हवे (No Loose fitment allowed).
fig.3 मध्ये दाखवल्याप्रमाणे Wrist Strap Hole मध्ये ते insert करा त्यानंतर machine वरील Wrist Strap चे Button press करा Green light
लागली तर Wrist Belt OK आहे.जर Red light लागली तर तो faulty(unusable) आहे.

ESD SUSCEPTIBILITY SYMBOL

The ESD susceptibility symbol incorporates a reaching hand in a triangle with a
slash through it and is used to indicate that an electrical or electronic device or
assembly is susceptible to damage from an ESD event.

ESD PROTECTIVE SYMBOL

• The ESD protective symbol differs from the ESD susceptibility symbol by the addition of an
arc around the outside of the triangle and the omission of the slash across the hand and
the triangle.
• The ESD protective symbol may be used to identify items that are specifically designed to
provide ESD protection for ESDS assemblies and devices.

ESD COMMON POINT GROUND SYMBOL

• This symbol is established to indicate an ESD common point ground.
• The ESD common point ground symbol should be used to indicate the location
of an acceptable
• common point ground as described in ANSI/ESD S6.1.
